About Kostas

Welcome!

I’m a certified Mountain Leader, climbing instructor, and outdoor guide based in Crete, passionate about sharing meaningful experiences in the mountains.

My journey began with long-distance motorcycle expeditions across Europe, the Balkans, and Asia, where I also organized Safe Riding Seminars for Motorcyclists. Over the years, my passion naturally evolved into mountaineering, rock climbing, and outdoor education.

I’ve climbed mountains in Greece and abroad, repeated numerous multi-pitch rock routes, and helped develop climbing crags in Fthiotida, Greece (2010–2014). In 2014, I worked with Zbynek Cepela to establish Crete’s first Via Ferrata in the Asterousia Mountains. Since then, I’ve remained actively involved in the Heraklion climbing community, contributing to the maintenance of local climbing areas.

In 2026, I joined the Public School of Higher Vocational Training (SAEK Heraklion) as an instructor, teaching Navigation and Mountain Meteorology to future Mountain Leaders.

From 2016 to 2018, I managed the webshop of the outdoor equipment retailer Mountain Club, combining technical product knowledge with customer support.

Alongside guiding, I’ve participated in environmental conservation projects, collaborating with the University of Crete on the LIFE Bonelli East Med (2022–2023) and LIFE Mare Natura (2024) programs. These experiences strengthened my commitment to protecting the landscapes and wildlife that make outdoor adventures so special.

Today, my goal is simple: to help people discover Crete’s mountains and wild landscapes safely, responsibly, and with unforgettable experiences.
