A Scenic Hike to the Ancient Minoan Settlement of Karfi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our adventure begins in the charming village of Tzermiado<\/strong>, nestled in the heart of the Lassithi Plateau<\/strong>, 70 km east of Heraklion<\/strong>. From here, we embark on a picturesque journey through the small yet stunning Nissimos Valley<\/strong>, making our way to the summit of Karfi<\/strong>. At the top, we\u2019ll explore the ruins of an ancient Minoan settlement<\/strong> while taking in a breathtaking panoramic view<\/strong> of the north coast<\/strong>, the Selena<\/strong> and Dikti mountain ranges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the descent, we follow a different route, trekking along an old, stone-built mule path<\/strong> that leads us back to Tzermiado<\/strong>, offering a new perspective of the landscape along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
