Ascend Spathi \u2013 The Highest Peak of the Dikti Mountain Range<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Get ready for an exhilarating hike to Spathi (2,148m)<\/strong>, the highest summit of the Dikti Mountain Range<\/strong>. The adventure begins at Limnakaros Plateau (1,050m)<\/strong>, where we can visit the historic Byzantine Church of the Holy Spirit<\/strong>, still adorned with remnants of its original murals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hike starts on a dirt road before transitioning onto the E4 trail<\/strong>, leading us to Seli<\/strong>. From there, we turn northeast and make our final ascent to the summit. Once at the top, you\u2019ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views<\/strong>\u2014gaze over the Lasithi Plateau, the Cretan Sea, and the Katharo Plateau to the east<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To return to Limnakaros, we simply retrace our steps. The full hike takes approximately five to six hours<\/strong>. On the way back, we can also visit Dicteon Andro<\/strong>, the legendary cave where, according to Greek mythology, Zeus was born<\/strong>\u2014a perfect way to end this unforgettable journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
